VICTORY FOR GUAM’S FAMILIES IN DC!!! - (2 Hours Ago)

Thanks to your hard work, making phone calls, sending emails and writing letters, Guam’s families are included in the historic National Health Care Reform that passed Congress today. In the coming years this will be worth tens of millions of health care dollars to our island. For the first time Guam’s working families built a meaningful coalition with our brothers and sisters in the other US Territories to give us power in DC where none existed before. We built coalitions with the progressive lobbying forces of the National Labor Caucus, the Progressive States Network, the American Federation of Teachers and the AFL-CIO. We created the machinery to win for our families beyond the influence of local corporate lobbyists. This is a huge victory for us which we can all be proud of. To quote President Obama, “This is what change looks like!”
